The author of some 300 short stories in his brief lifetime (he died at age 42), Maupassant is considered a master of the genre. In a new translation of a collection of 30 of those stories, Sandra Smith explores the writer's description of French Life, the Franco-Prussian War and the Supernatural. She will join us to talk about his life and read sections of some of his most famous stories.
