RivertownRunners Club Offering FREE Session on Injury Prevention

OK. So it’s impossible to prevent 100 percent of sports injuries—even Olympic athletes get dinged every now and again. But according to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), injury rates can be reduced if pros and amateurs alike follow certain safety, conditioning, and preventive strategies.

As this horrendous winter winds down, runners, dancers and other athletes around the River Towns may begin introducing more outdoor activities to their regular training routines, and that may increase their chances of suffering injuries that can sideline them until summer.

Not to worry. The RivertowRunners Club is offering a free program,” Injury Prevention for Runners, Dancers and Athletes,” that will help you mitigate that risk. Learn from a panel of experts how you can prevent/treat injuries to knees, feet and Achilles tendons.

Join us! JCC on the Hudson, Tuesday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m. The program is free. For additional information, contact Todd at or   914.588.1579. Reservations not required.
