Connect To Care

Professional Networking and Employment Search Support Services

The current financial situation is impacting many individuals and families who have never before experienced economic or career challenges.

UJA-Federation of New York's CONNECT TO CARE Economic Response Initiative at WJCS offers counseling, group information sessions and a resource guide to support those in the Jewish community experiencing economic and emotional uncertainty during this time of economic turmoil.

CONNECT TO CARE at Westchester Jewish Community Services is a multifaceted approach. The staff helps people maximize their chances for success in the career search.  Our one-stop OUTPLACEMENT CENTER at 10 New King Street, White Plains (near Westchester Airport- directions below), allows people to access information about career, legal and personal issues. Emergency loans are also available to eligible individuals.

The Center houses workstations with computer/internet access, a copier and fax machine, and a lounge available for informal networking.   Professionals from WJCS, FEGS and NYLAG are on-site to provide legal assistance, financial, emotional and spiritual counseling as well as individual career counseling sessions to clients, all free of charge.

WJCS' CONNECT TO CARE Center offers FREE DAILY WORKSHOPS on topics related to career search, family economics and personal support.  Click here to read tributes from program participants
