RiverTown Socials (RTS) is hosting a pre-holiday shopping experience for two important causes at Lola Fashion Boutique, 396 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, on Saturday, December 3, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. On sale will be ladies wear and accessories from Lola, and wine from OneHope Wine’s Cases for a Cause.
The RTS group, which is a community-building and social action initiative of the Shames JCC on the Hudson in Tarrytown, hopes to raise funds for a new children’s playground at the expanding JCC, and for Gilda’s Club Westchester, a organization supporting those impacted by cancer. Group organizers Rebecca Schleifer and Liza Wang, both of Irvington, expect that this social event will draw from across the river towns and beyond. “People understand that they can make a difference in many ways, and while having fun,” said Wang.
OneHope Wine is a world-class Napa Valley vineyard dedicated to making a positive impact on the world. A percentage of its sale proceeds will go to Gilda’s Club. 15% of Lola’s proceeds will start the playground fund at the Shames JCC.
RiverTowns Socials is made possible in part through a grant from Westchester Program Services of UJA-Federation of NY.
