This summer, Jewish teens from Westchester and all over the world will travel to Birmingham, AL; Albany, NY; or Miami, FL to compete in Olympic-style events or to participate in creative collaborations with acclaimed performing or visual artists.  Over 6,000 Jewish teens participate in the Games annually, making it the largest Jewish teen event in the world.  All the participants socialize and have experiences they will remember for a lifetime—from Opening Ceremonies to hands-on-service projects.  For information, please contact Westchester JCC Maccabi Director Steven Weisbrot at Steven.Weisbrot@JCContheHudson.org  or call his direct line 914-645-5978.

The Shames JCC’s Westchester delegation will compete July 30-August 4 in Birmingham, or August 6-11 in Albany and Miami.  Athletes must be 13-16 years, and artists 13-17 years old, on July 31, and all participants must be Jewish.

Sports tryouts will be held, organized by sport and age, beginning January 17 through February 28th.

ArtsFest will be held only in Miami, saluting creativity with week-long collaborative workshops with master teachers.  Video submissions determine participation
